Local Catholics in and around the New Paris, OH area have been gathering to celebrate faith and share in fellowship together. From the humble beginnings of the first Mass being held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Horrigan, in New Paris in 1854, to the first Church being built by volunteers with bricks being laid and formed from materials in the area, all the way to the current Church building being dedicated on May 15, 1960. Rich in history and filled with the beautiful witness of people dedicating their lives to God and one another. St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church welcomes you to become a part of the story for future generations.
